Simpleday Solutions Ltd. (“Simpleday”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates The dash, a data analytics platform accessible through www.thedashtool.com (the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect personal data when you visit our website or use The dash.

By accessing or using The dash, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors of the www.thedashtool.com website
  • Users who create an account in The dash
  • Organizations that connect third-party tools or data sources to The dash
  • Personal data processed in connection with our platform, integrations, analytics, and internal operations 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to:

  • Data stored in your own systems
  • Data controlled by third-party tools you choose to integrate with The dash (e.g.,monday.com, HubSpot, Jira, CRM systems, etc.)

2.1. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (encrypted; we never see plain text)
  • Organization name

2.2. Connected Data Sources (“Your Data”)

When you integrate your tools to The dash using FiveTran:

We may process (but never own) the following types of data:

  • Project, task, CRM, financial, or operational records
  • Metrics, timestamps, labels, custom fields
  • Users, IDs, statuses, and metadata
  • Any other information present in the tools you choose to connect

Credentials to your tools are stored securely. For FiveTan integrations, credentials go directly to FiveTan’s systems, and we never see or store them. For native integrations, credentials are encrypted before stored. They are kept in a private, secured database within our AWS infrastructure.

2.3. Usage Data

We may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Login timestamps
  • Page views and dashboard interactions
  • Performance logs
  • Error logs 

2.4. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies inside The dash platform.

Basic analytics may be used on our marketing site www.thedashtool.com.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal and operational data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve The dash
  • Display dashboards and analytics based on Your Data
  • Secure your account and authenticate access
  • Monitor system performance and prevent abuse
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve product features and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Provide AI-powered features using customer-specific data models (each customer’s AI is trained exclusively on their own data.

We never:

  • Sell user data
  • Trade or monetize Your Data
  • Train shared or global AI models using Your Data. 
  • Access your FiveTran credentials

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your data under:

  • Contractual necessity – delivering The dash to you
  • Legitimate interests – improving security, performance, and debugging
  • Consent – when required for cookies or communications
  • Legal obligation – when necessary to comply with law

5. Data Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of:

  • Data imported from your tools
  • Dashboards based on Your Data
  • Metrics, records, content, and information from your integrated systems

Simpleday does not claim ownership of Your Data.

Simpleday owns:

  • The dash platform
  • Dashboard templates, structures, and system configurations
  • Aggregated system performance analytics (non-personal)

6. Sub-Processors

We use trusted third-party vendors (“sub-processors”) to operate The dash:

  • AWS hosts the infrastructure that powers The dash
  • Does not store customer analytics data
  • Encryption at rest and in transit

Snowflake – primary data storage platform

All data processed through The dash is stored in Snowflake, a secure, enterprise grade cloud data platform.

Snowflake provides:

  • End to end encryption
  • Role based access control 
  • Automatic backups
  • 2FA authentication
  • SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and FedRAMP certifications

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard protections, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS)
  • Encryption at rest
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) where supported by the system 
  • Secure credential handling for both FiveTran and native integrations 
  • Network segmentation & firewalls
  • Least privilege access controls
  • Logging and monitoring
  • Secure development practices

No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

8. Data Retention

We retain:

  • Account data — while your subscription is active
  • Log data — for security and auditing purposes, typically 30–90 days
  • Synced data — for the duration of your subscription.

    Encrypted backups are retained for 14 days. 

When your account is closed:

  • All synced data is automatically removed after account closure 
  • Some data may be retained as required by law (e.g., billing records) 

9. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of:

  • Your account
  • Your organization’s workspace
  • All synced data
  • User-specific personal information

Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.

10. Your Rights (GDPR & Global Privacy Laws)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Port your data to another service
  • Withdraw consent
  • File a complaint with a supervisory authority

The dash is not intended for individuals under 18 years old.  We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance.
